About Us

Owners, Kevin and Pauline Lacy first built Kepala Pet Motel for dog and cat boarding in 1973. Their aim was for Kepala to become a 5 star establishment, offering top quality accommodation and care. Kennels, modern catteries, boutique suites and tropical landscapes were introduced - Kepala Pet Motel became Kepala Pet Resort.

Having realised that dream, they had a vision to provide a recreational facility that exceeded expectations and opportunities for dogs and their owners. In 2005 the Kepala Canine Country Club was opened, a place where dogs could run free off lead in safe enclosed play areas. They could take a swim in the heated pool or outdoor lagoon pool, run through sand or just chill out and watch the scenic landscape of Diggers Rest picturesque valleys.

Kepala is forever changing to provide spacious modern facilities for our canine and feline friends. New Luxury Suites are currently being built providing home style accommodation with flat screen TV’s, air-conditioning and heating.

Today Kepala Pet Resort and Canine Country Club is still owned and operated by Kevin and Pauline along with their son Dale and staff.
